What should I do with a weak Berlingo?

I'm after some advice. In April my Blingo suffered a sudden range drop and I've hardly driven it since. Not least because the last time it ran out quite soon after the light came on and I needed a tow for the last few hundred yards home. I had a lot of helpful advice from people here but I don't hav...

BBC Programme on Electric Vehicles

Hi, After I posted on the BBC some comments about how good electric vehicles are I had a call from a BBC Researcher working on a transport programme who wants to film me driving the Blingo and talking about what a practical vehicle it is. However, I'm run ragged over the next few days and will have ...

Re: Range falling

Checked mine to see whether the batteries were due watering, they were, 650 a/h since last watering. So did a maintenance charge and refilled the batteries. Amount of water used was about 17-18 litres with no one battery drinking noticably more. Took the van for a test drive yesterday. Nothing extra...

Range falling

Hi, Last year I never saw the orange 'low battery' light at all and regularly took the van around 50 miles, squeaking home with the energy meter in the red but no orange light. Late February, travelling back from Newport, the light came on for the first time with the meter reading 30%. A couple of w...

Tyres

After a year of driving one I had a thought the other day - Is there a recommended low rolling resistance tyre for the Berlingo? I've just been bunging any old van tyre on it.

Re: newbie ev berlingo owner:heater not working

I know this isn't your problem but a story anyway. I got the van in March last year and other than a brief pressing the button to see that it lit up didn't use the heater for months. When I did come to use it, one chilly October night, I was hugely unimpressed. As far as I could tell it made no diff...

Re: Power Gauge

Thanks all, that's helpful. There's a few things there I hadn't really thought about.

Cheers,

Power Gauge

Couple of interconnected issues here. Mind if I ask for comments? Van fully charged overnight. Drove 10 miles, gauge reading about 85%. Put van on charge for about half an hour, now reading a little over 90%. Drove to a meeting about 15 miles away; on the way back, about 5 miles short of home, the e...

Re: Failure to start

Just to postscript this thread I've not had a single "fail to start" (tempting fate, or what) since I messed with the accelerator connector at the beginning of January, 7 or 8 weeks ago. So I guess that it was a dodgy accelerator connection. Many thanks again for all the advice. Evan
