Re: New toy.........
A surprising (to me, at least...) number of die-hard petrol-heads like to deride electric traction One of the pseudo-complaints I often hear is the lack of a "soulful EXHAUST-NOTE"............ I have also read somewhere of a possible obligation on EV drivers to generate a continuous "...

Re: Siemens EV motor on Ebay
The motor is listed as 250vac. This requires a pack voltage of around 300v but my pack can drop to 230v and it is still OK. I think it is good for an AC voltage of over 110vac. It can rev to 12,000 rpm (400Hz) but I only use mine to 6,000 which in third gear is about 90mph. Power is 30kW continuous ...

Siemens EV motor on Ebay
If anyone is interested, the same motor I have used in my Lotus Elise has been posted on Ebay. The number is (270675116282) with a starting price of around £600. I can give a lot of technical assistance to the purchaser and like the motor so much I am using another on my next project. The equivalent...

Re: Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"
How did they measure/determine the overall placing for hybrids PHEV's using petrol/diesel and electricity? Sealed tanks? They filled the tanks up at the start and again at the finish with a seal on the filler cap. Unfortunately, some cars such as Kevin's Tesla were not data logged due to all the co...

Re: Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"
Any update on the techical info? I am pleased to announce that my Elise EV used 11.64kWh from the cells and regenerated 1.89kWh of power over the 92 km or around 56 miles course. I found it difficult to accept the regen. figure but after reading the last link that Kevin added earlier, with the VW G...

Re: A new vehicle from Sinclair ! The c5 mark 2 ??
Please expand re "Cedric" and "Courts" and "another"................. Has Cedric been reported by some ##### ? (a ##### whose opinion of "The Law" may become baseless custom and practice, in a worst case?) Ed Oooops, I should explain that I was only referring...

I think Cedric has another date with the courts.
Do you think Clive might have seen Cedric on one of his London commutes?

Re: Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"
ChrisB is correct in an earlier reply that the awards were a little hollow. I am guessing that with both my awards being for "Private Entry", the judges tended to go for privately built rather than privately owned. I would have liked the MGF to have taken one though as he has made a nicer ...

Re: Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"
Hey Kevin,
Have you got nothing better to do than send links to a site I cannot connect to because we blocked Facebook at work to stop the slaves from enjoying themselves at our expense.
Thanks anyway and I'll look later.

Wow, is that it?
The advert runs for longer.
I could have done a better video on my moby. They only had to ask and pass a thick brown envelope over!
