Re: 2010 Citroen C1 VTR Electricity ELECTRIC CAR on eBay
The large box with the twisted metal top right houses the main BMS board, so it's probably sustained damage to the board itself, and the box has been tampered with as the screws are out & the IDC connectors don't line up with the cutouts, also not good. Looks like the bleed resistor box has bee...

Re: Motor coupling
Our Red car let go of the coupler and lost drive causing some damage to the motor , gearbox and coupler. P5060004.JPG So decided to make a new key and weld it to the shaft then weld the internal damage to coupler and reamed out the keyway plus changed the locking screws from countersunk to pointed w...

Motor mount
I had the same happen to me about 6 weeks ago - ours is made of one piece 40mm quadrant connecting the end plate to the cast rubber mount , the bolts had sheared from working loose due to torque reaction and there was evidence it had happened before , so i made up a second fixing that sits on top wh...

Re: Blown cell !
P3160001.JPG Here's the naughty cell P3060002.JPG As you can see it welded it's case to this one , i put the pack back together and tested the 2 neighbouring cells for a week wilst obtaining 3 good used cells from Grumpy, they were good. P3130001.JPG When the new cells arrived i pulled the pack apa...

Re: Blown cell !
"Dont like the sound of a 4.4v" , I agree but no heat was involved and i estimate at less than 2amps - my inductive wouldn't even pick it up.

Re: Blown cell !
I agree Keep watching we all need to know if there's a problem or all is well , i have measured up to 4.4v but i have doubts about my BMS and think the cut backs are the Zivan hitting 132v and nothing to do with the BMS. Grumpy has said that there is no balancing wilst charging which would explain w...

Re: Blown cell !
I assume the BMS will detect the first cell to hit the upper limit and cuts back the charger, if so do you know what that voltage is and is it staged ?
