Re: West Sussex gets 20 charge points

Chris, that's excellent, that list of locations covers my stomping ground very well and could help with my business case to get a Nisan leaf or Mitshubishi iMiev as my next company car!

Re: An EV as a company car

Thanks for the tip about Tesla Kevin, I do not consider the Tesla to be the car for me, I think they are aiming for a different market place but that does not mean their analysis of the numbers is not valid.

An EV as a company car

My current company car is a 2006 Toyota Prius T4. I have been very pleased with it, it's tax efficient and practically pays for it's self as I make a profit out of my business mileage that easily pays the PUC. It is due for replacement next Jan (2011) and my automatic choice would have been the curr...

Re: Hybrids register

As originator of the poll I must say thanks for giving it a face-lift, I have re-cast my vote. Surprised we never had more votes at the outset, I always felt that anyone with a hybrid who had any interest in how it worked would find themselves on internet fora like this, but it seems not. MarkTime

If you are happy with the term 'thieving scum' I'll step away, it was an observation.

Re: Warning about fun2ride's batteries

I'm not making any comment about the rights or wrongs but just making an observation about how a post like this is viewed on other fora. http://www.navitron.org.uk/forum/index.php?topic=11479.msg125448;topicseen#msg125448 The BVS forum might need to think about protecting itself. MarkTime

Re: EV to cross Europe You and Yours BBC radio4

I heard the 'start of the journey' today, I have always believed that the pictures are much better on the radio but this item failed to fully get the image across. I think a blind man (person with limited vision to be PC) describing a motoring feature is a brave step and something that Top Gear coul...

EV to cross Europe You and Yours BBC radio4

Piece in today's Y&Y about a project to drive across Europe in an EV to raise awareness, I can't claim to have listened to all of it as I reached mye destination before they got to the point!

Re: Solar power (PV)

As I suspected British Gas use their position as sole player in the pilot to bump up the price. £14K for 2.5Kw on an East / West split installation! I had £7 -£8K in mind for a good MCS certified job. It's hardly a 0% loan when you have to pay that far over the top. The guy said that the pilot schem...

Re: Solar power (PV)

Chris, when combined with the PAYS scheme http://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/Home-improvements-and-products/Pay-As-You-Save-Pilots/British-Gas-Pay-As-You-Save-Pilot PV starts to look really attractive. There are pilots for the PAYs being run around the country and British Gas are running the pilot ...
