Re: Range falling

Thanks for your help guys, two duff cells in the centre pack and one in the rear, now all moved to the rear and an email fired off to Evan. I get the feeling someone had been there before me, a couple of the pipes hadn't been seated properly into the metal protector and had been squashed a bit (OK j...

Re: Range falling

Thanks Grumpy-b. I've got a mate who has access to his works garage at weekends, we'll get it up on the ramp to make it easier. I assume it's just a matter of loosening the box bolts, supporting the box, removing the bolts then lifting the van up? When cells go like this is it likely I'll see anymore...

Re: Range falling

Had the van (53 reg) for 16 months but noticed the range was poor this winter, I knew the batteries were due for watering and thought once that was done and the weather got warmer the range might pick up, no such luck. Van at 72% charge. Main v...

Re: Power Gauge

In this weather i find the charge light coming on at around 40-50% (battery temp around 2-8 degrees). The light comes on at 137V but only if the charge is below about 60%. When it died 1 mile from home I pulled the traction fuse waited a few seconds, reinserted and this was enough to cancel the char...

Afraid MB's price doesn't include batteries. "Customers will be offered the option of purchasing the car and batteries separately, or at an all-inclusive price. If bought separately, the benefit will be a lower purchase price, with the batteries paid for on a monthly basis – just like petrol – ...
