Re: DCP raptor 1200 OR Auburn double grizzly PWC1200???

decided to go with the DCP.

I could'nt really get my two 156 volt NG3 chargers modified for 192volts, and new units would be quite pricey.

I have a DCP controller reserved for me :D

DCP raptor 1200 OR Auburn double grizzly PWC1200???

Anyone have any thoughts or experience with the DCP1200 OR Auburn Scientific pwc1200 controllers? I remember reading a few times about DCP controllers being unreliable. The DCP can deliver over 1800 motor amps. and 156volts. I cant find much info on the double grizzly performance. I gather its two g...

Re: Melted battery terminal!!!!

Remember too that AGM batteries don't take too kindly to the depth of discharge that your Trojans will take, so you might not want to go too small with them. I am using SEC battery red tops but as my car isn't quite on the road yet I'm afraid I can't comment on their longevity yet. Yes that's a goo...

Re: Melted battery terminal!!!!

Hi Derek I'm thinking about the the hawker odyssey or the optimas. There seems to be mixed opinions about these batteries. Hopefully a nice new controller running 156volts. Slightly smaller capacity batteries but overall pack capacity should be about the same. The zapi controller hasnt been liking t...

Re: Melted battery terminal!!!!

Thanks for the tips Mark. The trojans have been ok since the repair. I think the problem came from the battery not being completely secure, resulting in it twisting the cable slightly. I check the security of terminal nuts every few weeks they haven't really moved though. :) I think the most draw I ...

Re: how to improve my range???

Thats super strange! It performed its best yet today! I did 28.5 miles without even noticing much power loss :) After the drive, I left it for 2mins and the voltage climbed back up to 120volts. I Drove it in the same manner as usual. The voltage did not drop below 100v under draw. Maybe the batterie...

Re: how to improve my range???

My range has really dropped now I am concerned I may have damaged the batteries. On a run the other day after 12miles I climbed long steep hill I pulled 200+amps to maintain 40mph. After, the batteries felt weak and I had to stop after 19miles. Did a recharge and today drove it, again it was loosing...
