BBC's Ethical Man drives the Chevy Volt
BBC Newsnight on 15/4/09 had Justin Rowlatt travel by coach to Detroit to see and drive the Chevy Volt. The prototype he was first shown looked much like the Toyota Prius/ (new) Honda Insight. SUSTRANS' broadside on electric cars
I read this in their membership magazine "The Hub" but it appears to be the same thing as here at page 22 in "The Network". For my own part I struggle with justifying having a battery car for local journeys (I'd cycle) but I'd be happier to use an electric car for longer journeys...

"Electric Avenue" article about V2G
In the Feb/March 2009 edition of Traffic Technology International there's an interesting article about 'Fostering a transportation energy transformation' which discusses, among other things, how battery storage can make "EVs ....to act as model citizens of the utility grid by providing ancillar...

Romag PowerPark
Thanks to the ETA I just read about a company in the NE proposing to build car-ports with solar panels on top. Why not just build a roofed car park with panels on top? Oh well, good luck to them! "A spokeswoman for the company explained that the testing would allow Romag to assess how the devic...
