Re: Dumb question, from Ed....

I think your best bet would be go get the biggest size battery that you could. Potentially 23 of these http://www.thunder-sky.com/pdf/20081122102551.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to give you your 72 volts and around 7.5kwh or storage. They are 3.2kg each, so a total weight of ar...

Re: buying a reva opinions

You should check eBay. Last week a DC Reva with brand new battery pack and new motor brushes went for 1500 - that is probably less than the battery pack cost !!!

There are alot on eBay at the moment.

Re: Odd electic car for sale ..in the uk ..for £1200 ??

This car is also listed on eBay - just search electric car - Looks like they imported it and I wouldn't be suprised if it needs alot of things doing before it could pass a SVA to be considered road legal for the UK.
There is also another chinese import on eBay - needs batteries and charger.

Re: Importing

The drive electric people have only got one left. A 53 plate for 5k + vat. The person I spoke to did say they have not got anything else and are finding it hard to get stock.

I will keep looking to see what crops up on eBay. If I dont get one soon I might have to get another Gwiz !!!!

Importing

Has anyone imported a Berlingo or Peugeot from Europe at all? I know it is a pain to have a left hand drive one, but to me that is better than not having one. I have seen quite a few cars for sale across europe and am considering getting one and bringing it back to the UK. Is it fairly straight forw...

Smart EV conversion

This morning I saw a Smart EV car. It has nice pink lettering across the back saying Powered by - then a picture of a plug. The car was a year 2000 left hand drive. It had sign writing on the side of a hair dressers in southampton - cant remember the name now  Does anyone know anything about t...

Re: Test drive report on the Citroen C1 ev'ie

Nice write up ChrisB. I to would have thought the car would have more of a display to show driving style, charge, power consumtion etc. I am glad you consider it a car you would buy, but do you know if a conversion would qualify for the goverment grant? If so then I will probably put my money where ...

Re: Test drive report on the Citroen C1 ev'ie

Just wonderig how your test drive was. I see on their web site they offer the opportunity to hire one of the C1's out. I might have to hire one for a few days to see what I think of it.

I am missig my old GWIZ and I am definitly after getting another EV at the moment.

Re: Test drive report on the Citroen C1 ev'ie

Very lucky to have this for a pool car. I take it that it should fit the requirements for such a role. We lost our pool car a couple of years ago with the cutbacks.

Do you know if the car is leased? or was it purchased?

I am looking forward to the write up and to know what your niggles with it are.
