Well the Green Machine a Bedford CF has 37 180A/H AGM's fitted which are now 18 months old (being 4yrs old when I aquired them) and I am getting about 40 miles at up to 55mph.

Hi Floydster - I would get your battery off a cold floor either on timber or better still in an insulated box perhaps some of that very thick polystyrene they use when laying floors in houses. Are the batterys sealed or wet batteries. If sealed you may want to think about completely enclosing them, ...

Oh that would be great to speak with someone who was on the original group. I did have contact with one chap, Prof Roger Kemp who is Head of Engineering Dept at Lancaster University. He was there in the 70's and I did get a chance to speak with him but he had forgotten a lot of the people he worked ...

This weather we are having is great for getting best performance out of your EV batteries.
I have noticed less voltage droop, graeter range and higher terminal voltage.
maybe there is something in having a heated battery compartment for winter.

Have you seen the little Agora - French electric vehicle, advertised on Ebay. Looks even more like a noddy car than the REva (G-Whizz).

I've got one !!
I have a 1999 Blingo with the 5 seat conversion. It was a great little van until I had a controller go bang. Now its a useless lump of tin until I can find out how to get a sensible priced repalcement controller.
