Re: Axiam Mega Van - Hydrogen Fuel Cell as replacement for the battery

Its not that easy. 1. you have a selector to choose low or high performance (Thats relative) in the cab, 2. The 8 cell version will not only have lower range but lower performance as the lead cells have a limited discharge rate. The higher the current the greater (Rate of drop and voltage) the volta...

Re: Axiam Mega Van - Hydrogen Fuel Cell as replacement for the battery

The safety issue is that of the integrity of the hydrogen container in a vehicle accident. If they get damaged the result is a significant destructive explosion. So far the Tanks for vehicle use are either generic small containers, or seriously costly specially made devices. As to the Aixam, the mot...

Re: Axiam Mega Van - Hydrogen Fuel Cell as replacement for the battery

Yes three lines of 4 battery, some installed from under the rear floor and some inserted from under the passenger seat. Its a steel frame slung between the chassis rails. As with any fuel cell vehicle you will still need a battery pack to start the vehicle and deal with the peak demands. Why a fuel ...

Re: EVIE parts now available

The absolute maximum for the 5601 is 105v. Thats both power and regen, so if you have a 100v system, you wont be able to use any regen, as it will go above 105v almost immediately. If these cells are so good why not just have greater AH and higher constant current rather than push the voltage toward...

Re: EVIE parts now available

The controller can handle over 500a if the battery pack can deliver it. As to the coupler, I build a replacement and so would not have a concern. I would not use the original one as most are now fairly worn . They really have to be perfectly aligned, which many motors and gearboxes are not well alig...

Re: EVIE parts now available

Yes they used the AC50 and 7501, I have just sold the last of the motors and controllers I had, they were on ebay for £2200. Curtis now sell the 1239e series which are about £1600+vat each just for the controller. I would continue to use the ac31 as it has a torque curve with a higher rev range than...

Re: Velo Advance Community E-bikes crowdfunding bid

Forget the PR, Just explain what it is you are trying to do. Save the PR for the crowd funding . You have as much space here as you need to explain what you want to do and how the money would be spent. Can I suggest some headings. What is the project called. Who is involved. Where will it be located...

Re: Velo Advance Community E-bikes crowdfunding bid

I have read and re read this as well as the funding site, which has the same text, and I really dont understand what you are trying to do. Is this a project to build ebikes? if so what is the specifications to be, who is to buy them what expected quantities, and how will the marketing be carried out...

Re: Allied Peugeot Boxer charging

Thats certainly not the Allied EDN charger, it wont do below 207v on single phase. ANd they were staggeringly expensive so I doubt anything like that is in yours.
What is the charger in your Buggy? Send me some pics.

Re: Allied Peugeot Boxer charging

I suppied a type two to 3phase cable for a chap who drove his Boxer from scotland down to Cornwall. He wanted Type 2 3ph to speed his journey, but its not that common a feature of public charge points. He actually found more sites , like farm shops with std 3 ph than public charge points. On the Alli...
