Re: Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"

I plan to enter the Elise although it will require a little planning with at least two full charges required to reach Brighton from Leicester. I may be able to help with this. I can get you access to a 32A charge point in Winchester and possibly some other locations as well. Please let me know if I...

Re: Charging Points - comments please

If you are a member of the Society, perhaps you have read our document giving advice about installing charging points? ( In the members' section of the forum here: http://www.batteryvehiclesociety.org.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=2318" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) I'm a BVS...

Re: Charging Points - comments please

What works would be carried out to, say, a domestic installation to ensure the main service head, and fuse, was able to supply the 32A at the same time as the general consumer peak demand? We will need a site survey... I understand that a lot of the initial work can be carried out remotely. Where a...

Re: Charging Points - comments please

Is the electricity free as well? A Tesla on a 63A socket can suck down a lot of power! Are the only accesible with some sort of key/card? My plan is to encourage people to 'donate' the electricity free of charge.... at least until we have so many EV's that the cost becomes an issue. The standard bl...

Charging Points - comments please

I hope to deploy a number of charging points in the UK. I will cover the cost of the equipment and installation (my brothers electrical installation company will install them at cost). The intension is that these charging points will be free to use for the EV community. I intend to deploy two units ...
