Re: Old BMS Software Thread
Something to do with having the optos off rather than on all the time. Also something to do with sinking the optos into the pic as a more effcient driving method at low voltages. I can't remember really it's a along time ago since I did the original design.

Re: Old BMS Software Thread
The problem is when you send command 5 to reduce the load switch on point it changes CutInV in the slave, but does not change CutInVD in the Master. So the loads turn on correctly as the cell V is over CutInV in the slave, but the cell V is not over the CutinVD in the master so the FullBit for that ...

Re: Old BMS Hardware Thread
Is the load led on for that cell? Is the load resistor hot to the touch even if load led is off? Does the load resistor have any voltage across it when load led is off? When you say one cell i assume you mean one block of 9 cells in parallel which appears as one cell to the BMS. Reprogram the slave ...

Re: Multi-Cell Slave-Version 2
V10 good spot  Not sure about CellS CellS is used to store the unloaded cell voltage from a known acquisition with the loads off. The sequence goes 1) Turn off loads. 2) Measure cell voltages and store CellV in CellS. Report V to master 3) Turn on loads according to CellS I'll look at it. Sugg...

I'm going to convert one of my Insights, so that will be ultra econmical as far as wh/mile is concerned.
No plans to buy a new car ever. It's not something I do.
