Not b...

Re: British Gas Charger

I believe that the gsm receiver has to be in use for 2 years, after that time you can if you wish disable the gsm transmitter. I am aware it is not a charger, just a high current 32a access point. I do,charge my plug in hybrid pack with a standard 13a plug, and this does get mildly warm during charg...

Re: Alittle advice with charging final phase with lifepo4

Hi guys, Thanks for the contribution.... Ok, my aim to be honest is not to extend the range to max and fully charge the cells to max, it is merely a precaution as a result of a port entail overcharge situation. I charge the cells to 3.5v max, so once any cell in the pack gets to 3.5v the charge proc...

Re: Using a battery dc source to power the home along with s

Hi Rory, I suppose it. All hinges on whether the old used lead acids can be picked up cheap enough. I personally wouldn't have much issue using the lifepo4 cells from the prius, especially as they are at a 240v dc, when running appliances in the evenings the load from then would be small especially ...

Re: Alittle advice with charging final phase with lifepo4

Hi guys, As this is my first project ( although I have had the pack built and running ok for about 7 months now) and I have never had experience in charging any chemistry of battery in an ev application, the terminologies are new to me. So, if I am reading into this correctly, when my charger has dr...

Alittle advice with charging final phase with lifepo4

Hi, I have got a 76 cell lifepo4 pack that i have been quietly tinkering with for optimal set up. I have modified the zivan charger with help from Dave at electrofit zapi which required a 20k turnpot to be fitted in place of a 2k on the voltage set point which gave more voltage adjustment, plus they...

Re: British Gas Charger

Hi Rory, I had the same charge point fitted a few months ago. The options were a 16a charge point for free Or A 32 a charge point for £99. I opted for the 32a option, the chap that fitted it only does 1 a day as they can never tell what type of install it will be and how far the charge point is from...

Re: Anyone know anything about the Smart Electric?

I was also in contact with the breaker about that smart car, at the time he said he had the battery but phoned me back after checking the battery had already been removed. I pondered on it for a while too, but came to the conclusion that getting over 300v worth of batteries back into it was abit of ...
