Older vehicles had 8 x Chloride CMP Classic EV 3ET200 batteries again 200 Amp-hours, 6.00 Volt, Lead-Acid, Flooded. Of course these may have been replaced by Trojan T125s subsequently. I understand that the T125 is now out of production, so assume that they're changing over to T125+ batteries. Comme...

However, I am now minus a relatively expensive bright yellow/orange extension lead (about 30 m) left at Handcross. If anyone picked it up please let me know. Assuming that's the "JCB" one, I took it from Handcross to Brighton as it was unclaimed. I think that John Crayton has it now. He a...

Hi, The converted vehicle is here http://www.batteryvehiclesociety.org.uk/wordpress/?page_id=29 . I think that if you use a 1kW mains generator but the vehicle wants 3kW initially then the generator will trip out. I think that the maximum current on a charger can be limited to be within the capacity...

As the currents and voltages are small, why not just use a series of diodes? Memory suggest that each diode will drop about 0.6 volts, so 5 diodes will produce the 3 volt drop that you want. I've got some radio control gear that's nominally 6 volts running off a small 9 volt battery for space reason...
