I was taking part in a photo shoot for a car mag a couple of weeks ago. I told them I'd joined the BVS and that my next project was an Enfield that I could recharge from a wind generator. Emailed the guy writing the article to and fro a couple of times about electric cars. Hopefully they'll find spa...

That sucks!!

All you see in the news these days is Iraq or climate change. So how can anyone be discouraged from doing what this government's saying we should all be doing? Stupid outdated regulations.

I also hope to have a wind generator early to mid next year but have no experience. I'm probably going to have a battery storage system and put in some new wiring from the battery bank. So far I've messed about with PV http://www.technofreak.com/solar and had solar water heating put in http://www.te...

Thanks. I think I'll concentrate on planning my wind power project for the moment. I'd probably be limited to how deep I can go because where I am if I go deeper then about two metres I hit sand. The top two metres are clay and I've been told that if I expose the sand there's a chance that enough co...

Thanks John,

I have it raised on some wood but it sounds like I should insulate it a bit before the cold weather kicks in.

Thanks again,

Geothermal heating

Does anyone here have experience of geothermal heating? The temperatures quoted (max 15C) seem to be a bit low to be used as the main heating system for any modern house.

I see they use a hub motor , I've riden a a different type of bike which had a hub motor and was impressed with the speed and torque it had , mind you that one was a 500w motor so double the legal limit. I would say try and get a test drive ( ride ) with one before making your mind up . ChrisB I ha...

I have a PV powered garage, should I insulate my battery for the colder weather and if so what's the best way to go about it?

Thanks,

The Cyclone II

I like the look of the The Cyclone II. There's a company close to me who sells them. Does anyone know anything about them and if they're worth looking at?
