I'm unsure what configuration he used in the end, when Cedric came down to me he was still planning to use all the cells, but that would make sense Malc. He told me he had geared the bike down so as to limit power needed for a WOT run. Gearing was very important on this race, I think Cedric was one ...

Due to the unweildy size of these cells Cedric only managed to fit around 10KW/h on the bike for the race. I helped him make a couple of pannier style packs to carry the extra range, but it was decided it was too heavy and unweildy for the track. The weight advantage wasnt so great on these cells, b...

Good work Ian, I hope the LifeBatt team goes on to set more UK records this year!
The battery pack is very impressive.

Are you going to take it to the TTXGP for show?

Aye, great video Azhar. No sceptics around on this forum though! I hear Paul Blezzard managed some respectable times at the ThunderSprint too! Kelvin, this bikes not destined to race the TT, and mountain circuits are hard to hire I guess:) We're all looking forward to seeing how the bikes handle the...

You will be able to ride the same electric vehicle as you could petrol. If your licence is for cars then you will indeed need to sit a test to ride a 250cc sized bike. A 125 on L plates may be possible, but depends when you took your car test. I'd suggest looking on the DVLA site to find out what yo...

Basically, LifeBatt has 3 new products. An 8AH cell weighing 300g with high discharge rates, a 10AH cell at the same weight/size with moderate discharge rates, and a 15AH cell that will fit in the same space in their packs that the 10AH cell used to take (basically, a 50% wh/l improvement!). THese c...
