Re: Aixam Mega City controller settings

I have a couple of controllers for mega vans. If the settings are the same you might be able to download the settings from these?

Re: Back lash in driving gear between armature and gearbox?

I have looked at the August thread, I assume you have too. Grumpy is the main man if you need parts. Did you check the brushes yet?

Stop light

My van has been sat on the trailer I collected it on for a month due to family crisis. Today I drove it off trailer. There was a Red STOP sign on the dash. Did not seem to stop the vehicle being driven slowly. The charge indicator seemed to go up to a reasonably high value say 80%.

Are milk float motors any good?

I am thinking about converting my Shogun Sport as the tax is high and I want a good towing vehicle. I have got a few Milk float type motors in stock including one from an electric lorry. Past reports seem to indicate that Milk float motors are not very satisfactory but I am not sure why this is. The...

Leaf Talk Website down

The website was giving an error message earlier and is now blank. Feeling surprising sense of loss. Having to migrate to speak EV as I have some questions.

Carice featured on BVR cover

This car looks interesting but there are scant technical details available. The weight of 350 Kg is impressive. However I suppose that could be with the smallest battery? The price is not too excessive but again that will be with the smallest battery and the lower powered motor. Sadly it is more tha...

Re: Topping up procedure

Grumpy I will definitely take a set of brushes when I next see you. I have yet to read up on how easy it is to check them. The watering went OK but the flow stopped on the last 3 nozzles. I carried on and then when I went back the flow did eventually resume which was a relief. I assume one of the fi...

Re: Topping up procedure

OK 500 Amp Hours. There must be a cumulative figure on EV lite so I not that and water after adding another 500 to the count. It will be interesting to see the total after 90,000 miles.

Re: Topping up procedure

Thanks Harry. So you start from the right. I assume that is right when facing the connectors stood in front of the van? I have got 25 Liters of de-ionised water ready so hopefully that will be enough. The batteries as far as I know have not been charged for some years. If they were Lead Acid they wo...

Topping up procedure

I have been trying to find comprehensive information without much luck. Was there an instruction manual with the EV Lite? I seem to remember it being said that there is a correct order to filling the modules? Where is the overflow that shows a module has satisfied all cells? I understand that a 12 h...
