Battery Vehicle Society

On the 31st of January 2009 the BVS North-west group will be getting together for a ‘Cosy indoor meeting’ at our home and local pub, near Altrincham.

We plan to watch a video, while enjoying mulled wine and popcorn, and then head over to our local pub for a bite to eat (for those that feel hungry) and a few drinks.

As you may have read elsewhere, Tim and I have now received a truck-load, literally, of LiFePO4 batteries from China, because I developed a mad notion that I wanted our Berlingo to be able to get from our house to my Dad's (240 miles) in a single charge! We've had to sell our souls to the bank to make it happen of course, but it's all very exciting, if a bit scary at times
Anyway, people visitng our home on the 31st will be very welcome to have a poke at our batteries and hear more about our project.
And, as usual, it would be great to hear about other people's projects too.

Also at this gathering, and anytime now, we are inviting suggestions for speakers for the BVS Spring Conference that I am organising for 18th April (in the Manchester area).
