BVS L2B 5th July 2009

Postby booboo » Tue Jan 13, 2009 5:34 pm

Looking at the Battery Vehicle Review (page 3  ) the date for this years BVS London to Brighton run is 4/5th July

I've altered the date of the c5alive Brighton Run to coincide with the BVS event so that we can all meet up at the finish line...probably :D

That's great news. I think the man organising it had pencilled in the Saturday for the run itself, but I will check with him. It is certainly planned for that weekend anyway. I suppose people might go London-Brighton on Saturday, and Brighton-London again on Sunday :-)

Anyway, really good if we can make it a joint thing.

I wonder if the G-wiz owners club might like to be a part of it too?

Yup - we'll get involved with that.

We'll have some lithium-ion G-Wiz's in the country by then as well.

If I need to re-arrange the date for the C5alive meeting let me know , I'd hate to turn up on Sunday afternoon and look at the empty spaces

Oops! Right yes. It had been left as 4th or 5th while John liaised with a venue for charging at I think. Anyway, I shall poke him and find out exactly what the plan is :-)

Ok, the man you need to liaise with is John Crayton our Acting Chair. I spoke with him on the phone and he said Sunday 5th July is good for him; thinking of planning to arrive in Brighton around 2pm on the Sunday, having travelled, obviously, from London.

I would suggest that the best plan is for the C5 and Gwiz people to liaise with John Crayton. Next step of course is to sort out an arrival point in Brighton that will let everyone that needs to charge up.

Dunno about anyone else, but I think it's great that all 3 groups can come together on this for a joint event :-)

Thanks for sorting that, I'll get in touch closer to the date.

Cheers,

The latest copy of the review shows this event as still going ahead, which is excellent news :D

I do have an observation though ; page 41 of my local Friday-Ad freebie paper is showing an advert for the Brighton Heartbeat Music and Bike show. It highlights Bands,Stalls,Bikes & Fun at the Brighton Marina with free entry. Not sure if this Bike show was known about when the BVS run was planned as I'm guessing it has only recently been advertised.

Does this have any impact on the finish point of the BVS L2B run, and will there be any difficulties in the G-Wiz and Sinclair C5's meeting up i.e. sufficient space and access ?
