Bristol road run: Sunday 2nd September
Posted: Sun Jul 29, 2007 5:44 pm
We've been out today and planned the route for the first ever Bristol road run. We chose the route to be easy on the vehicles, so the hils (unavoidable in Bristol) are as gentle as possible. It's in two segments, one starting at the Cribb's Causeway charging point and ending at the Create Centre. The second part, after a lunchtime recharge, will go over the Clifton Suspension Bridge and take us to the Better Food Company, our old monthly meeting place. Each leg of the trip is about 12 miles.
First leg (on Google Maps):

There's a coffee stop at the Toby Carvery in Henbury (near Rectory Gardens) in the morning. There will be three hours to charge at lunchtime at the Create Centre, There will also be an Organic Fair and Farmers' Market at the Create Centre that day.
Emergency charging points will be available on both legs of the journey (from generators on the support vehicles).
Please do take part if you're in the Bristol area, or even if you're not! If you're planning to come along, could you please let us know (either reply in this thread or phone Nikki Gordon-Bloomfield) so that we can make arrangements. We'll be setting out at about 10:30 am on Sunday the 2nd of September, but do arrive earlier if you need a top-up at the start.
