Whos up for a bit of electric karting ??

This was something that we use to do in the BVS some years back but due to lack of folk coming and the fact Mr Lightweight would win all the time it sort of dissappeared

Anyhow it was bought up at the last committee meet that it might be an idea to put some feelers out to see if any folk would be interested in having a meet, from memory there are two electric kart tracks (or there where ) one I think Birmingham and one in london , please correct me if I'm wrong

No dates fixed currently or even a venue, just getting an idea if we can get enough folk together we'll hire out the whole place and have a bit of a race

I'll put a poll togther so you can have a bit of a votey thing.

Sounds like a good idea.
What about trying to levell the playing field by adding weights ?
(In gliding we had bags of lead shot that light people sit on to provide the trim the glider.)

Team Works Karting in Birmingham have some great karts. They look like they use an Etek type motor on a 48V system.

How about different weight classes?

Setting a minimum driver/all up weight sounds like a great idea!

75Kg isn't all that light!

Skill comes into in too.

Sounds like a Great Idea to me. Does that mean that I will have to shed a pound or two ??

Reminds me a bit of my days racing in Spa. I must admit, I have in the past resorted to taking Laxatives to get my weight down, but thats a different story, between me and my bowels

woh, woh, woh...hang about, whats this about racing at Spa? I'm sure drivers with knowledge of F1 tracks should have extra ballast to compensate!

Seems we could have a very competive race...what with EVguru and Dave. I have a bit of experience too...came 4th in National Pro Kart Endurance Championship on 2002, won my class at Le Mans 24hr. I'll have to get my karts out and get in some practice again, not been since November, and my rubber has gone off.

Hi Chris, Not F1 Cars But Bikes and it was a good few years ago, that was before I ended up eating tarmac, 1year in hospital and limping for the rest of my life complete with left leg 1" shorter than the other
Whats the chances of the track putting a block on the brake pedal so I can reach it ??? Otherwise it looks like I'll be flat out all the time
