Battery Vehicle Society

Hi. Since my trike project cantstart at themoment (Started building the house) i was looking for som cheaper stuff to experiment.
I found this company http://goldenmotor.com/ and was wandering if someone knows about theyr products.
I was particulary interested in hub motorModel: MW16C. Its 3kW wheel motor at 9.5kg with 1000 RPM. If i calculated correctly it should do around 70tish km/h max. Would this be good motor to use on scooter-cycle type of thing. If i would get some lifepo4 batteries say 48V40AH what kind of range roughly i will get?

Your best bet is to ask on the Endless Sphere forum, as there are a great many people on there who have used these, and many other, hub motors of this type.

The general view seems to be that GM are OK, but that there are a couple of other brands that may have the edge in terms of performance/price/quality.
