Chris,

I've just replied to your PM with no problem, but whenever I try to either reply to one from Stuart, or send a new PM to him, I get this error message that I reported a few days ago (I've just tried again and got the same error):

"Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 737280 bytes) in /home/sites/batteryvehiclesociety.org.uk/public_html/forums/includes/utf/data/utf_compatibility_decomp.php on line 2"

It now seems as if the problem is just down to sending PMs to Stuart, based on the test you've just done, which seems a bit odd.

Odd as I've just sent Stuart a PM and ones in the past without any issues at all ??

I've plopped this in Tim's lap , he's the data dude I just manage the front end

My thoughts too, Peter, but it was only a handful of lines of text.

I tried a single line PM too, but got the same message. The odd thing is that a test PM to Chris has worked fine.

It's the random nature of IT problems that really gets me - I can deal with things that just go "bang"............
