Hi Gareth,

No, probably not. Why not come to the City El weekend in January on 19th/20th Jan in Bristol and the UK City El dealer will be there :)

Hi Gareth

Have just email you our address for sending cheque. You might be luck regarding the Dc converter. Have a look at the rating plate and it should tell you the input voltages, might be 24-36V or 24-48V 0r even 36-60V if you lucky.
If you do need one let me know and I will see what we have going spare.
Regards
Dave

Gareth, there is a site in Germany saying how to convert the City El DC/DC to 48V.

(I've just fond it and have patched it through Google Translate: http://tinyurl.com/2yrwgn)

Where are you planning on putting the other battery? You can get battery trays (they bolt in) designed for the 48V version.

Hi Gareth
just to let you know the speed controller complete with manual was sent yesterday so you should receive it either tomorrow or Saturday. If you do need any other parts we have a vast stock of both new and servicable goodies. Change over contactors, emergency isolators, cables, battery terminals, lugs, battery chargers, batteries etc.
Hope the controller is OK. If not just send it back.
regards
Dave

I was planning to put the fourth battery in the boot as low down as I can get it. I know the City-el weekend would be well worth me attending and I'm going to see if I can, at least for one day, no transport so will have to get train.

Hi Gareth,

Glad the speed controller was OK - Thanks for the photo and also the prompt payment. 48V charger should not be a problem. if you let me know what space it has to fit into im sure we can sort you something out. If not we could always make you a bespoke charger. Please keep us posted of developments.

Dave

I do'nt know how much space I have for the charger as the el is not with me, at the moment, its at Jhon Lilly's place in Wales. I need to get over there and get it sorted, but I do'nt think it will happen this side of xmas, theirs also a problem with the electronic display-but I'm hoping Nikki can sort it- she's a wizz with city-el's :)
