Although it cost quite a few beer tokens, hopefully it will "pay for itself" once I've used it to transport my mini-el to a few BVS events,MoT etc etc

Not sure what the total weight is , that ramp isnt light

If you needed to reduce the weight, I guess that would be the first "sacrifice" & replaced with normal loading ramps .

Next on the agenda is a waterproof cover to protect the mini-el from road dirt,bugs etc while its being transported. Plus I'm not too convinced of the waterproof abilities of the convertable roof

I picked up a cover (actually from a different manufacturer and very cheap) at the Motorcycle Show. The material they use is similat to Tyvek and as such is very tear resistant and also breathable. The stand had a chamber with the membrane half way up. The upper half was full of water and an air bulb would cause a cloud of bubbles to issue forth whilst the bottom half stayed dry.

The only down side (other than perhaps cost, but I've found most cheap covers to actually be bad value) is that the covers aren't very flexible, having a heavily 'starched' feel.

Let us all know when you've got a quote. I may be in line for a cover as my El doesn't have the luxury of being indoors at all! She sits outside in all weathers!!!

Go down to a local discount store, Wilkinsons, Dunelm Mill, etc. and buy some cheap sheets to make a pattern. It's not wasted effort since you can use it as an indoor dust sheet.

If you do a nice job, you could use an inkjet T-shirt printing kit to plaster it with BVS logos.
