The big news from Stoke Gifford is that we have received a City-El manual in English! All the way from California, in fact. It's applicable to the Series II cars, because that was the version that was imported to the US, back in the early 1990s.

I'm sure Nikki will tell us all about it once she's had a chance to have a good read...

Will you have a copy ready for when I collect my city-el on the 8th march? I also need my display unit, don't like driving without it !

Hi Gareth,

I hope to have a copy on CD for you - but you'll have to speak to John Lilly about the display as he has got it not me :(

In the meantime are you getting batteries for it?

Nikki.

Yes I know John has it, but I was just hoping that you had news about it, I have been unable to contact him so far. :(
I will see about batteries when I get the car back. I'm still doing research as to which sort of lead acid I will buy. It's very interesting stuff. Trouble is when they quote cycle life, its when they are discharged slowly over 5 hours or greater, not over 1 hour, which is more usual in a electric vehicle.

Hi Gareth.

No, sadly not heard anything from John about it. I think you may have to pester him. :( I've got the urge to give your car a wash though ;)
