I saw that Mitsubishi parked in our works basement yesterday. It exists! It had the legend about registering for November launch on the side.

So come on then whos going to sign up for a trial then

http://www.mitsubishi-cars.co.uk/imiev/trial.aspx

Although I noticed it appeared to be mainly aimed at Coventry, Birmingham and the West Midlands  but I thought I'd register anyway......well you never know they might want someone down sarf.

Well that was until I read the below.......

As the trial is part funded by the Government users will only need to contribute £350 per month towards leasing the car.

SORRY did I read that right £350 PER MONTH   are they MAD :?

I can lease a Merc C Class for £100 less a month or Prius for £100 less, infact I could find loads of motahs for less than £350 a month.

I love the fact they say users will "only" have to contribute £350 / month   It also bugs me that you have to sign up to EON as well.

How to put the average joe off EV's, well done Mitsubishi

I can confirm that it does exist.
4 of us had a go when Sylvia and I attended the Low Carbon Vehicle show at Millbrook. Very impressive performance - with 4 of us in and
going up the hill circuit it was accelerating convincingly.

I hope to do a write up for the mag/BVR soon.

Also there seems to be talk of the price halfing

Yeah but thats by 2015.

They could have just shot themselves in the foot, well whos going to buy one new now when they are saying if you wait 5yrs you'll be able to pick it up for 1/2 the price, also means cars that will be 5 yrs old on the 2nd handmarket are going to be worth almost nothing

Great for the likes of me who like to pay naff all for my motoring but not too good for someone who pays 25k for one and then finds in 5yrs time they have a car thats cost them £4000 a year to own
