Thanks Kevin. I hadn't seen this anywhere else. We shall see how Skype copes with 200 people in a meeting (or am I being ambitious?)

I'm sure the organisers would love that problem :)

I have no doubt that EV drivers need a more cohesive approach if they are going to influence policy in this area. My recent meetings with SMMT and OLEV confirm that drivers are the last people being considered :(

We are holding a public meeting this Monday 2nd July, online, at 7pm. Please join us. This first meeting is to gauge what support there is to form this group and to decide on a way forward.

To join the meeting you will need to have a Skype account. Sign up at skype.com... it is free.

Then contact me on Skype. My Skype id is paul.churchley - I will add you to the meeting group.

I am hoping we will have enough support to start this group and to finally give electric car drivers a voice in the UK.

More information can be found at www.plugin-uk.org.

I look forward to seeing you on Monday evening.

"paul.churchley is not listed in the skype directory"

Struggling to join the throng.

Well, that was fun. A bit disorganised, but not bad for a first public meeting.

I would encourage anyone interested in being part of a group who intends to shape government action on charging points to sign up to the forum at www.plugin-uk.org/forum and follow the twitter hashtag #PIUK

I should make it clear that PIUK currently has no affiliation to the Battery Vehicle Society
