*** Stolen ***

Postby booboo » Tue Nov 13, 2007 9:17 pm

from Marks www.C5alive.co.uk site ;

"Last night my garage was broken into and 4 C5's were stolen.

Please will anyone let me know if they come across thse C5's. Sadly and stupidly I do not have a record of the serial numbers but a couple of them had "distinctive marks" on them

One was a C5 that I only used for hire. It was quite tatty but ran perfect and it had "on hire from C5Alive" etched into the rear light.

One had a bright green painted chassis and the body had a very distinctive scratch on the front nose that looked like a griffen from the Vauxhall badges ! . ( I have however previously sold another C5 that had a green chassis )

The other two - one was a C5 complete but with no electrics fitted ( This one was going to be donated to a Museum ) and the other was again complete and worked but did not really have any features other than the fact it was a 24v C5, but there are so many 24v'ers out there now that you would never tell it was ths one !!

I doubt that I will find them, but you never know.

If anyone out there comes across such a C5 please just let me know.

I feel really upset to have lost these C5's, the thieves managed to break into my garage which was very well secured, without anyone even hearing a thing. What makes it worse is that I have an alarm to fit into the garage which I was planning to fit asap. I will be doing that today. Its so annoying as I have spent a fortune on CCTV to protect the C5's locked up in my garden as I thought they were the vunerable ones - The thieves even had to lift the C5's OVER Marias Astra GSI to get them out !!!!

I am shell shocked and still shaking.

Meanwhile, if anyone out there has a few cheap C5's for sale, let me know, as I got a bit of "re-stocking" to do !!!

Mark"

Might be worth saving a search on Adtrader too.

I presume this was in the Crawley area?

Was there anything else taken or just the C5s ?

Do you have any photos of the stolen ones?

Think you'll find it was at Marks place which is in High Wycombe Bucks.

Photos would be good.

Also might be worth checking out carboot sales around there, I think theres quite a big one not far from there, cant remember the name though.

Thanks for your concern qdos, but fortunately for me ChrisB is right - it was Marks place in High Wycombe that got turned over

He doesnt hold out much hope of recovering them, he didn't have a record of the chassis numbers etc.

Crying shame, always seems to be the nice people that get a raw deal in life :(
