stupid question ( one of a series of loads )

my g wiz just stopped working been loony reliable 40k miles down the rd and therefore ive never fiddled with it. ive just noticed ignition key only turns as far as acc? is this normal.Also there is no 48v at the main battery cutoff solenoid, and if a energise it the service sequence runs and the gauge goes high but no drive or fan noise.
