A replacement power driver board was required to sort the controller issue, followed by a new field winding which had gone poof. Took quite a while to sort but got there eventually!

So the field winding was gone. Wow - I wonder why it should have gone. I know trhe field part of the PCB in the controller had gone and when I sold it that was the fault I sold it with. I think Evan was offering an exchange controller for 800 quid at the time, but it was too expensive for me at that time.

Did you buy it from me or did you buy it from someone else ?.

Think it was you John, we had a very long trip to Kent with a Skoda Octavia and a car trailer. Vowed to use a transporter next time!
