Building a Motor controler

Postby movingturtle » Wed Jul 18, 2007 3:06 pm

Converting a 750 Yamaha motorcycle. I want to build a motor speed controller for an Advanced DC Motor A-89-4001. It will have a Magura twistgrip throttle, 0-5K ohm. Will be 48V and peak at 350 amps. Any one have a schematic for a PWM controller that will work?

Speed Controller

Hi,
Just a thought why not go for a curtis controller and one of their twist grip throttles ? Have tried to match different throttles from different manufacturers with different speed controllers over the years and to be honest 90% of the time has been a nightmare.
Good luck and pls keep me informed of progress
PS: I have a new Curtis 1209 48-72V speed controller going spare, would be perfect match for the motor
Regards
Dave
