It would be great to see a few BVS members there, if anyone wants to forward some BVS publicity stuff I'd be happy to place it on display at the event :)

Crumbs is it really that old

I was watching the BBC's "Electric Dreams" program the other night (family are put through 3 decades with different tech in each decade) and one was the 80's and in the program they had a load of bods on C5's at one stage, was any of them from your clan ??? I thought I reconised a few faces from pics on your site.

Hi Chris, yep - that was us ! We helped them film that in February this year, just after the heavy snow...some of us had a real struggle getting to Reading through floods caused by thawing snow

The c5 used, called "Dave" (all my C5's are named...) , will be at the "C5-25" Brooklands events along with "challenger" the Test Hill C5.

We've managed to put together quite a few bits and pieces to make a worthwhile event , hopefully enough to impress the Brooklands staff who have shown us a lot of support over the last few years.

Looking forward to this.

Hi booboo

What time will your event open? Might pop along with my daughter, and have a look around the museum too.

Best regards

Christopher

Brooklands officially opens at 10am, but I think you should be okay getting in at 9.30ish.

I have been chatting to Brooklands by phone today - their staff are working from home as the museum is closed and at best they are considering only limited opening on Sunday.

On this basis I've taken the decision to accept their offer of rescheduling our event to another date.

C5-25 will now be taking place on Sunday 7th February.

I will be contacting as many people as possible, but would appreciate it if you could spread the word - especially as we've been putting up posters etc.

Just a reminder that the rescheduled "c5-25" event is this Sunday, the 7th Feb.

A few of us are going to get into the spirit of the 80's by wearing 80's clothing !

Should raise a few laughs

Be nice to see a few of you there :D
