Venturi Berlingo testing in Africa

Postby timpootle » Wed Jul 11, 2012 4:22 pm ... ntries-ev/

I've just watched this short video. Wow! 500km range every day for a month, wiring up every night as the plugs are non standard across the country. Wow!

They said it had 3 batteries. I wonder if that is 3 sets of cells in parallel - pretty much like your Tim - and with 500kms range ( 312 miles ) which is what I think your may well come in at.

They previously did China to Paris, it had three of the Zebra batteries that the Standard Venturi Berlingo has with three separate chargers to enable it to charge from normal power supplies.
Their advantage was probably lower weight. But they survived the last long run and got back to Paris.
Last time it was a couple whoo did the journry, supported by but not part of Venturi. This is the same van.
