I think that it's Radio 4, but there was a interesting program on the Enfield electric car.
I only heard part of the program but the first episode is on Iplayer at the moment.

Re: Hot motor cable on G Wiz AC controller
OOps, I just re-read this bit Anyhow with the 2 good original cables around the induction ring and one cable going direct to the controller it works... I greatly fear that you may be introducing problems by only having chokes on 2 of the three phases. That ring is three chokes. You might want to rew...

Re: Hot motor cable on G Wiz AC controller
Hi Chaps. I managed to get hold of 3 x 20cm cables of suitable thickness. I thought I'd do away with the ring (induction ring?). However the motor wouldn't work without it........... why? ... but I'm puzzled as to why I need to wind the cables around this ring. I thought the ring was just there to ...

Re: EV safety for heart pacemakers
Can anyone estimate how the (RFI, EMF, anything else we need to worry about?) compares between: Ed Well most of us are fairly immune to RFI/EMF (ignoring microwaves for the moment) However assuming that we are talking of someone who needs a pacemaker, here is a link and some comments of my own. htt...

We are now advised that no EV can now be considered safe for this user
I do hope that everyone realises that includes electric trains. They are after all a VERY powerful EV.

Re: EV safety for heart pacemakers
Presumably you are investigating this because you, or someone who will be using your EV, has a pacemaker. I confess that I assumed otherwise. The magnetic fields in the passenger compartment will be low. RF could be higher than normal unless significant effort is made, but most of us would make the...

Most of the gauss meters that I can find are hand held, which should put you far enough away (hopefully). You might like to check this mobile phone app out and possibly email the author a question or two. Who knows, it might open up a new market for him. http://dev.krugism.com/es_pro.aspx" onclick="...

Re: Top Gear and Radio 2
TBH Top gear is intended to be a joke. However more "honest" publications have reported upon their antics. http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/georgemonbiot/2011/aug/05/top-gear-bbc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Why is Top Gear apparently exempt from the BBC's editorial ...

Re: Now one of my batts overcharging!
I'm REALLY worried about the danger of a hydrogen explosion now. One of the wires to the motor gets very hot indeed and its very close to where the batteries go. I can't discount the danger of sparks either. Hydrogen is only produced during the charging cycle as far as I know. I doubt that the moto...

I have just read about a new VW concept car, so sadly you can't buy it. Even if half the stuff on it makes it into a production car the results will be stunning. http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/volkswagen-world/news/282/volkswagen-unveils-the-xl1-super-efficient-vehicle-in-qatar" onclick="window.open(th...
