Re: Beryl - Bradshaw FB2

Beryl is now on my driveway! :D DSC02635a.jpg She was not easy to move as her brake pads were rusted onto the discs and there was an electrical fault I couldn't resolve insitu when we plugged in the battery pack. We ended up hand winching her out of her parking space inside St Nicks and then having ...

I am about to acquire Beryl, the Bradshaw FB2 my wife used to drive when she worked for St Nicholas Fields in York. Beryl.jpg Beryl is in pretty poor shape, batteries are lead and dead, chassis is very rusty, and tyres are solid rubber. We were over over in York last week and began to dismantle the ...

Re: 16 x 60Ah Calb cells - Charger/charging?

OK, I think I am going to be on the market for a charger very soon. I have started to put all the cells into a portable battery box and will need to use them in three weeks to move a vehicle. I have acquired Beryl, the 48V Bradshaw FB2 from St Nicholas Fields in York. It is the truck my wife, Arch, ...

Re: 16 x 60Ah Calb cells - Charger/charging?

TC Charger - relatively cheap but really good quality. I found TC chargers here: http://www.ev-power.eu/Welcome/ Skooler - is this where you recommend getting them, or do you hold stock? The 156v27A box looks like what I will need for mine. * edit - further research looks like I will need 192v vers...

TC Charger - relatively cheap but really good quality. what a gift! What's a TC Charger? I am really grateful for the gift, but I do, now, need to do something with them. Would this charger be any good? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181573004144?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649...

16 x 60Ah Calb cells - Charger/charging?

I have apparently been (anonymously) 'gifted' sixteen new 60Ah Calb cells for my tractor. I guess I will now need a charger to be able to charge them. Ummm, I hadn't planned for this yet as I wasn't expecting to have any batteries for quite a while longer. Any (cheap and affordable) suggestions most...

We had thought about coming down for a drink but were plastering a ceiling and it took longer then we thought. Too tired and achey when we were done.

Sorry, won't be making it after all.
Late night last night at a party and then a long day walking today. Staying in with feet up.

We'll catch up soon, just signed up to volunteer on a heritage railway that has a battery electric loco!
