Re: Little Aixam City electric
Any Aixam spare parts are expensive for the EV version, even second hand ones because there aren't many about. If you get one with a faulty charger it will cost more than you pay for the car. There is virtually no information for electric Aixams, there is a PDF download for the petrol and diesel ver...

Re: Little Aixam City electric
Hello Andrew I have a 2008 Mega City and I think they are the original batteries so they give a lower mileage than a new set would. On a nice flat road you might manage just over 40mph. On a good set of batteries you would be pushing it to get 40 miles, my maximum now is around 26 miles. You shouldn...

Re: Little Aixam Electric to promote business
Hello littlejobs You didn't say which part of the country you're from, but here are a couple of links. The Reliant place don't stock much for electric Aixams but do have some mechanical stuff that is used on the electric and the petrol versions. I bought a rear motor mount from them, they were very ...

Re: Aixam Mega City controller settings
Thanks for the link Grumpy-b, I have bookmarked your web page (some useful stuff there). I did get the motor rewound by the way, but I didn't want to put it up on the forum until we can sort out this other problem with the controller.

Re: Aixam Mega City controller settings
Hello folks, the company that is doing some research and testing of my Aixam Mega E-City controller say they can offer a free battery check and controller optimisation checkup if you can get to their premises. They are situated in Aldridge in the West Midlands. So if you have an Aixam with a Curtis ...

Re: Aixam Mega City controller settings
Thanks for the reply Rory. I think Norwich is a shade too far to get the info. I don't have the equipment to download the data myself, and the controller would have to be powered up to do that. Are you considering selling the controllers, and what sort of price would you be looking for.

Aixam Mega City controller settings
I am looking for the settings for a 2008 Aixam Mega City with a Curtis 1244 sepex controller. It looks like some of the settings are wrong, I would be very grateful if anyone could upload a settings file. I could include a list of the settings that need to be checked.

Re: A very poorly Aixam Mega City
Hello Just in case folks think I ignored the last post from Laurence I did in fact send him a private message. Yes I still have the little Aixam and yes I am still looking for a motor/s for it. I have now extended the search by looking for internal 19 spline coupling motors and most of them look to ...

Re: A very poorly Aixam Mega City
Hello Woofy
I have sent a message to that seller to see if he wants to sell the motor separate. Think lucky and you'll be lucky. (It's never worked yet)
Thanks for the reply

Re: A very poorly Aixam Mega City
Hello Grumpy-b I did realise that a single solar panel or a couple of 12V batteries boosted up through the DC-DC to 55V would never really replace charging off the mains, the idea was to see just how much, if only a bit extra mileage I could coax out of the batteries. This would be more like a small...
