Re-hi, Thanks Grumpy-B, it is comforting to know there is a source if we need the hoses. I'll try to get some EPDM hose in the right dimension to see what it is like. There is a good chance that the same supplier also has external supporting elbows too. I have used those for setting up laboratory eq...

I guess i should have rummaged the forum for somewhat longer

Hi Grumpy-b Thanks for the "heads up" They are getting old those Berlingos. At least old anough for the rubber to deteriorate. I found the rubber bushings in the back suspension need replacement. Likewise I suspect the front will need a going over too. It would be nice to get look at the i...

Hi Tim, Thanks for the welcome, we are glad to be here, for sure. And thanks for the "heads up". It is mistakes like those i'd much prefer want to avoid. Droite, Gauche.... I should have guessed that. We are cutting up the floor of the workshop at the moment. To cast a sturdy foundation fo...

Ah yes, the stereo, Wifey wants HiFi, now that she can hear subtleties well enough to appreciate it. I agree about the wing. Although if it is rubber you might want to leave it there to protect your teeth. But for sounds, how about this one? Another sound effect generator Or perhaps it is more suite...

Shanon posting again, I just got a car lift for my Electrowizard and have decided it's a better and safer idea to wait to remove the batteries until we have the lift installed. It'll be a few days at least before we remove the batteries and see what is going on in there.

OOOOOhhhhh, yesssss
That is so lovely.

I have been musing over installing a sound generator, with the sound of a jet engine starting, in the Blingo. Now i see where such a gimmick really belongs

Good luck,
Henrik

Hi Grumpy-b (love that nick!) OK then, out all the batteries come. GAWD I have to get us a lift soon . I had planned to check the packs anyway. Since the car was cheap (£2500) I have been pretty sure that there was plenty of expenses coming. Wonderwife has decided to install rear seats, so while she...

Would a single dead battery and a couple possibly dead cells also explain the EOC light turning on at around 80% charge? -- Shanon asking. We did capture some of the fluid earlier, and the pH is 14, so it looks like it is battery fluid. The coolant has a pH value of 7.0 and I'd expect battery electr...

Hi grumpy-b We did a search on your username and found a post where you described how to measure the voltages. Our results were: Control unit, center cables: 174V Front top box: 27.11V / 4 cells = 6.78V/cell Rear box: 40.65V / 6 cells = 6.75V/cell Center box: 73.20V / 11 cells = 6.65V/cell Which lea...
