Re: Another EV bike :)

I guess that 220miles in 5 hours wasn't on an Electric bike!? (44mph av.) A ZEV LRC11 will do that of the shelf ( I guess you looked at it on their website. I speak to the owner/designer Darus Zehrbach occasionally. The main problem is the price of replacement cells. There is a new site (1 year mayb...

Re: 18650 multi parallel packs

Hi Chris! More power to your batteries! I was considering one of these as a replacement battery for my ZEV 7100 http://www.zelectricvehicle.com/4.html that I'm sure heard of. I bought it 2 years ago with a fairly old (maybe 3 years without being charged) I replaced 4 cells, (3.2V 40Ah LiFeYPO4) it ...

Re: 300V pack for gas turbine hybrid

As you need a high pack voltage, and not a great capacity, I would recommend using 3.7-4.0V Li-Po prismatic cells, such as EIG or A123. these give a very high gravimetric energy density, but need careful charging and heat management. Forget Lead acid. What peak and average current draw does your gas...

Re: sad Enfield 8000

Hi There!

I have two that I plan to restore/rebuild, maybe we can work together on them? One is fairly complete, the second a "glider" without windscreens.

Re: Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"

Hi guys, luckily my EV is very small, 6kw would run it (at a lower speed) and of course, if you're away from mains power but have SVO! I have already asked my engineering manager whether I can plug it in at work, and he was worried about how much elec. it would use! When I calculated a top-up at abo...

Re: Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"

Hi Rustybkts, Can I suggest for long trips, you put this (or similar) in the boot, usually they can run on SVO (straight Vegi oil) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Honda-Diesel-Generator-Key-Start-Good-Condition-/280557690273?pt=UK_BOI_FarmingEquipment_RL&hash=item41528a9da1" onclick="window.open(this.href...
