Hi Chris, I'm part way through converting a HONDA CR85 to electric. I'm using a LEM200, see http://www.lmcltd.net, at 36V (I only want a 25 to 30mph top speed) with a 400A (because I want fast acceleration) Kelly controller. The batteries will be a 17kg 1kWh LiFeBATT LiFePO4 battery pack, 600A peak ...

Hi Mary, Can I recommend the decision on photos be delayed until July. Your current deadline will miss both the Alternative Energy Drag Racing event in late April and the TTXGP, the first zero emission race at the Isle of Mann TT, in June. Both these events are likely to produce some fantastic photo...

Greg, OMG, I can't believe nobody heard or saw anything! I have followed your build and admired your very professional approach. So for me, from the information you have provided, I suspect a component bought in, rather than cells alone or something you have developed. I think I would agree with you...

I recently insured the R2, on the chassis number as I am still waiting for a DVLA appointment, with Footman James. Agreed value £30K, must be locked inside our premises at night, no commuting from home for me, for £147 fully comp on a 3,000 mile policy. They didn't want to know any details abo...

Hi All, The electric pump was supplied by Grass Roots EV (£100) and works well off the 12V supply if a little noisy. I'm going purchase the switch you recommend, use a standard automotive relay to power the pump and isolate it from the chassis to reduce the noise. Many thanks and I'll let you all...

Hi Nick, Thanks for your input, this looks like it could work, my one reservation is the supply voltage to activate the switch, it's showing "250Vac/dc" on the specification? http://uk.rs-online.com/web/search/searchBrowseAction.html?method=getProduct&R=2895513 Thanks, Ian

Kelvin, yes the SVA guy was pedantic but he could have asked us to remove the servo before he passed the car. I will try isolating the pump from the chassis and see how noisy it is...... The rest of the car is sooo quite it really does notice. Paul, yes removing the servo probably would make the bra...
