Re: Shakespeare County Raceway 1st and 2nd October 2011

Got back from the SCR event a few hours ago. Perfect weather - but only one EV. Had a pleasent chat with a BVS member who had gone to the event to do some research for a planned conversion. A couple of other members rang me to ask how many vehicles would be attending because they wanted to see EVs p...

Re: ecovelocity 8-11 Sept

I agree with booboo it was a great event with lots of efficient ICE vehicles as well. Disappointed that I couldn't get a look at the Smart conversion. They would only show me inside the car and inside the boot, but aa a show it was a good step forward. Why not a similar event at another venue such a...

Re: Alternative Energy Racing at Santa Pod

I spoke to Rick Cuthbert today and everything is going ahead as planned. Rick assured me there should be plenty of charging points available as there are no other events running on Saturday. The circuit will be set up by AERacing for our use on Saturday and as a performance car demonstration area on...

Re: Alternative Energy Racing at Santa Pod

Rick Cuthbert was the organiser of the AE event last year, and that was a very good event,so I am confident all will go ahead as planned. It does explain why I have not received replies to my emails, I shall copy them to Rick and ring him on Monday.

Re: Alternative Energy Racing at Santa Pod

Thanks for the info on charging requirements. Please keep the information coming to enable AER to give us the best possible facilities. Have you encouraged a friend to come to Santa Pod yet? AER are hoping for forty vehicles in total - let's surprise them. Can we make it forty EV's including bicycles?

Re: Alternative Energy Racing at Santa Pod

Less than five weeks to the AER event. If you are competing could you please let me know your charging requirements as I am trying to collate this information for AER. Chris Dredge has reserved an area for a 'tight and twisty' track. This proved popular at Electrathon 2010 and gives BVS members exte...

Re: ELECTRATHON 2010, The final preparations have started

The entry list is growing and I want to provide everyone with an opportunity to test their vehicle on an appropriate track. We have a quarter mile straight, a half mile straight, a 'road' circuit of almost a mile, a couple of tight circuits which can be configured as quarter mile or half mile laps s...
