I think that I would love to have something like this for use in my Gwiz. I might have to read the whole forum again and see what it is that I need to get and to do. I do like the idea of a nice gadget like this sat on the dash giving me all sorts of information. Apparently there is one available fo...

What sort of range are you getting with the new batteries in it? Does your conversion still have the gear box in it? as 35mph is pretty slow for a top end speed.

I cant do any better than jeremy i'm afraid. The 16 bit is the limiting factor and the amount of resolution your going to get will be limited by this. You could do a straight bit shift of my original calculations until you have the resolution you want which I think you said was down to 10th's of a m...

Right with these figures lets try some maths. We will have 2 contstants to use. We know that at 1.875 mph the VSS length is 42176 So we know that I can do ( 1.875 / mph ) * 42176 to give me a new VSS lengh So i need to reverse this to use a pulsin reading to give a mph reading. mph = ( 42176 / pulsi...

ChrisB - can I ask where you bought the solar panel from? Was it a shop purchase or a private purchase?

I am down in Hampshire and would be happy to attend a meeting within range of my Gwiz as long as it would be possible to charge up so I could get home again.

I had this dilemma before I bought my Gwiz. My commute is 26 miles total, 30 when I drop my son off at his playgroup. I could have done the commute in the Gwiz but I would have pushed it too much - especially in the winter months when the range would be reduced. I approached my employers and they we...

Peter I will have a go for you. we know that there are 4550 pulses per mile traveled and you are reading the pulses per second s = speed in MPH x = pulses per second s = (x*3600)/4550 Should give pulses per hour divided by pulses per mile to give you a mile per hour figure. so for a 60mph reading yo...
