DC DC Converter

Hi Gareth Have just email you our address for sending cheque. You might be luck regarding the Dc converter. CURTIS 1204/5/9/21

Thanks for correcting me Paul, Yes Curtis did mess around with fitting regen on the 1200 series. Was a total waste of time and money, hence they only produced it for little over 6 months.

1209 Controller

None of the Curtis 1200 range of controllers are fitted with regen braking. I dont know without seeing the mounting position on the City-E if the controller would fit. The 1204 controller is 174mm X 146mm X 70mm and the 1209 controller is 231mm X 180mm X 80mm. The 1209 controller uses exactly the sa...

speed controller

Curtis 1209 controller would be a great option. 48V to 72V 400A. This would also give you the option of maybe increasing the battery voltage over 48V, thats providing the motor will take the extra volts. Just so happens that we have a new unit looking for a good home !! How does £150 + VAT sound ??

E-Bay batteries

Paul is quite right regarding the batteries. the price of lead has gone through the roof due to the Chinese buying up most reserves. Hence the cost of lead acid batteries. I can remember not so long ago that we were selling Dyno monoblocs for only £47 each. If only I could buy them for that now !...

Battery Replacement

Looks like Going Green are back tracking a bit with regard to alternative batteries being fitted to the G-Wiz. I have had some real stick from some people saying that the battries that I was/are offering will not work on a G-Wiz and that REVA have spend years and years developing the vehicle and kno...

Diode Blocking

I know im going to be in for some flak over this one but --- If a controller is built as it should be ther is no need for blocking diodes.

My Apologies

Sorry I thought the Enfield was running on 72V. 1209 controller will be OK at 72V but not at 48V You would be needing a controller peaking at 750A. To my knowledge I dont know of anyone who makes one, well not off the shelf. I do know of a few people who can upgrade their 600A controllers but warran...
