Re: Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"
Chris, I agree entirely, especially as there seem to be quite a few sponsors. Why it couldn't be free to private entries is beyond me. There only seems to be one at the moment which is a middle ground EV (Prius). I guess like the Cenex show at Millbrook, they are not interested in the private entry....

Re: Low Carbon Show, Millbrook
I went last year and found it pretty boring. It is really a junket for VIP's and is aimed at commercial interests only hence the weekday venue. I doubt that they would wish to have a BVS presence there. It was very odd last year that a damn great diesel generator was running all day for the occasion...

Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"
We have all heard of the London to Brighton Vintage car rally and this year the organisers have added the Future Car Challenge which is open for all road legal electric vehicles to drive the course in the opposite direction. The link to the site is http://www.futurecarchallenge.com" onclick="window....

Re: Blingo versus the rest!
I have just read the last post and was rather surprised by the comment that the inverter (AC) controller has been giving them problems. I am of the opinion that AC controls are seriously simpler than DC because of the much simpler motor. We have been making 3 phase motors for almost as long as pisto...

Tim, I have been re-reading the earlier posts, and if you really have to spend over £36,000 just to save money when you visit the outlaws, then I could save you a packet by offering a charging point here near Leicester about 10 minutes from junction 21 of the M1. Any EV is welcome but give me a c...

Thundersky cells
Hi Tim, Does anyone have any information concerning the LFP battery licensing situation as they do seem to be far better than the other two. I note from the technical info that LCP/LMP can catch fire if abused but the LFP cannot by design. I would of course prefer them. After watching the abused LiP...

50ah Thundersky batteries
I need batteries for my EV Elise which is coming to fruition. Now just need batteries, BMS and a charger. Count me in for about 100 x 50Ah Thunderskys, but I need a little more info concerning the choices. I assume LCP is the one to buy as it seems to have a much longer life. Can someone clarify?
