Where does the cardboard go?
I have read somewhere that half the matrix is for one job, and half for another. Should I blanket the whole thing?
Seems to be a useful thing, though. I am down to 36~40 miles in the cold.

Thanks Evan. That was what I thought. OK- slightly different question. Does anyone in the UK have a fast charge STATION? Has anyone asked Citroen UK if they are available to buy? I imagine they will be expensive, but HOW expensive? And what sort of supply must they be fed with? 240v 63A? 415v 3phase...

How much power does valet parking leave you with, then? I think your Scirocco is lighter than the Focus, especially when I have filled it with batteries. I don't need it to 'pick up it's heels above 70', but I need to plan for enough power to get there at all. It's a difficult balance, isn't it? 45k...

Thanks for your advice Paul- all contributions gratefully received ;-) I'm confused by your comment on power required: 12kW for 60mph on the flat- yes, I understand. 45kW for 100mph- this is nearer the numbers written on the back of my envelope more for acceleration- This is the bit I don't understa...

Ford Focus
*sticks head above parapet* I'm collecting data to convert a Ford Focus, to have motorway capable speed and as much range as I can (it has to be an improvement on the Berlingo, which is already Quite Good). I chose the Focus as is has been the best selling car in Britain for the last ten years, and ...

Chris- did you get your spare crates to Ian? Or measurements, at least? I for one would like to see just how far a Berlingo would go if ALL FOUR crates were full of lithium. Or for those with less deep pockets, which crate we could dispense with to retain the original range/capacity. Maybe get the s...

My reply more-or-less ignored the original post, which had the same link in it. Sorry Robert. qdos- why do you say it will be fraught? We all live in Europe. There should be no problem at all bringing a car in from another Euopean country. However, I have no experience or expertise. I just travel ho...

The Kangoo will be alright as it has a European type certificate (it does, doesn't it?)
The RAV4EV may or may not, but if if doesn't then all that is required will be the Single Vehicle Approval test, which will be a breeze for a production vehicle.
