Re: Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"

Hi Tim, Yep, that's the guy. There's a nice article on the MG Owners Club website which is worth reading. We built the cars at about the same time and the company we purchased the inverters from and dispensed know how put us together. I haven't seen it on the road but we touch base often. The cars a...

Re: Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"

Although it was a super offer, I have passed the hat back to Peter as there are more deserving than I. I did though mention that I consider beer as a currency and will happily accept donations that way. There are very few privateers on the list and they do mention bikes as well in t...

Re: Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"

It's not a case of deep pockets, but I hope that by entering a home brew relatively low cost EV, it may ignite a bit more interest in electric cars. Every article about EV's seems to focus on the high cost of them which puts them out of reach of most people. Whilst I take my hat off to new companies...

Re: Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"

Trust me, it is harder to pull it out of the pocket rather than swallow it. (Double entendre?)

Re: Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"

Well, I am now £500 + VAT lighter as the Royal Automobile Club (not RAC remember) have allowed my old/new Elise's entry to the Event. If there are any spare BVS stickers, I will cadge them from one of the Tesla boys on the day or at the Electrathon which unfortunately will only be Sunday as I am ove...

Re: Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"

1998 Lotus Elise S1 or should I say 2008!
Haven't heard anything back yet, probably convening a meeting to decide when to have a meeting to discuss it.

Re: Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"

After sending in my application this morning with an Emailed wad of cash, I was swiftly informed that my car was built before 2000 and so was not within the event rules! I must say that I didn't even think that I was breaking any. So I quickly replied that I must have made a mistake and attach...

Re: Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"

Whooooo, hold on. How many Tesla's are there in the BVS. I am beginning to feel distinctly under powered here. :( Its good news though as there seemed to be very few members actually "on the road" (hint to Timpootle!) :) I am digging very deep in my pockets today and filling in the entry f...
