electrothon

Felt a new thread may help. It is on the 28th June at Haynes museum then but what time? Any camping? One day or 2? Any entry fees? Any charging facilities? Showers? Directions? Catering? Everyone welcome? Entry classes? Road legal or not? Safety spec? Scrutineering? Or just an informal get together ...

I feel you may need deep pockets for that kind of range. I used LiFe batts in the MEV R2 and it is a great performer. Having tried a range run yet.

As no one seems interested in the Mansfield electrothon I have been asked to take a MEV R2 to Somerset. Anyone have any details?

MANSFIELD ELECTROTHON

A date was set for Aug 16th. I offered my 1/2mile track and assumed those who attended my open day were going to organise the event.
I have heard nothing, opps a missed opportunity maybe. I assume folks are not bothered and will cancel the event. Trust no ones going to show up. Stuart

How about a Comet torque converter(CVT). One could be modded to control the ratio's by cable to a lever or to be fancy, a stepper motor controlling ratio relative to motor current. A cheap alternative is to have 2 chain drives to a single back wheel and a pair of kart clutches connected to your outp...

12" tyre required

Nearly completed my etrike but dont like the back tyre. I have a 12" wheel with a scooter tyre but would prefer a larger contact patch(flat tread type). Could do with being 110mm wide ideally. Does anyone know of such a tyre?
