Re: Battery cycler project.

Hi Greg,

Anymore progress on this project? I'd like to cycle all my LFP160's now they have done 8k miles just to see how they are holding up.

Regards, Martin.

Re: Master Board Version 3

Peter, Yes if, for example, you want to set up a system of timed charging to, say, take advantage of off-peak electricity controlled by the carputer... and I suspect there are many other reasons why 2-way comms would be useful. MW.

Re: Old BMS Software Thread

Peter, Did you get my email reply (on 010910) to yours? What 50A 3kw supplies do you use, what do they cost and how complex is the mod as it would be nice to have a cheap backup charger or one I could install somewhere else for a fast(er) charge? Sounds like 3 would do nicely for my 120V pack of TS ...

Re: Master Board Version 3

My wish-list:-
1/ RPM sensor input as well as speed sensor (same type) or software configurable choice from the 2 - with option to limit controller in event of motor over-speed
2/ USB serial data output for computer based loging and/or display
3/ ...

Re: Gearbox Identification Help

EVan, Thanks for that... if you are right about having a choice of gearing, it raises the possibility of changing the ratio for a higher top speed - the trade off being poorer acceleration. Which brings us back to a positive ID of the gearbox so we can investigate altering the ratio with the manufac...

Gearbox Identification Help

Hi All, I'm trying to help someone without WWW access (who lives 200 miles away) to convert their PbA pack to Lithium for better highway performance and need to know the gear ratio of its gearbox before potentially wasting any more time on the project if the motor/gearbox is not capable of a good 55...

Re: Old BMS Software Thread

Peter, I'm trying to use the AXE027 lead with the redundant Master PCB programming port to connect to my PC using Hyperterminal rather than using another o/p port and having to rewire the PCB. If it were a PICAXE chip I gather I could address the 'TXD' pin directly with a SERTXD command with little ...

Re: Old BMS Software Thread

P, Thanks for that. ... so how do you silence the watchdog alarm? The thought occurs... could I not use the AXE027 picaxe programming cable to connect the Master to my carputer? From the cables data-sheet... 'The PICAXE USB download cable connects via the computer’s USB port. However the cable conta...

Re: Old BMS Software Thread

Peter, That's fixed it! All seems to be as it should. 2 things... Would I be right in thinking that if you press a dash button accidentally that eventually the watchdog alarm will sound as there is no pulses going from Master to Watchdog when in programming (submenu) mode? Is there a way of silencin...
