So if I've understood right: 22 miles from just under 3 kWh means you're using less than 140 Wh/mile? Excellent :D What was your average speed Greg and do you know roughly how much the Fiat weighs now? I am going to say 150 Wh/mile which is what I was aiming for, or 225Wh/mile at the wall. Average ...

Re: Studs/Interconnects
I used 8mm threaded rod cut into 40mm-50mm lengths last time on my 30 TS 200ah cells. I needed studs and nuts to fasten interconnect with a decent amount of torque, and then fasten bms board lightly on top of that with another nut. I used spring washers as well. Cool, I will use just normal steel t...

Voltage sag under load
I made some very crude measurements of voltage sag on my journey to work this morning. The current readings are taken from the e-meter and pack voltage from the Paktrakr. Each instrument only updates about once a second, and not at the same time! Also had to concentrate on driving and trying to hold...

Li-ion cell interconnects and Noalox
I have my new Li-ion cells and am not happy with the supplied interconnects. http://www.go-ev.co.uk/images/Misc/Image017.jpg Problem is that after a drive some are warm while others are not. Also the slot head aluminium screws are not very good. I have got a quote for making up some interconnects fr...

Re: Received cells!
I have added a picture above. What current have you been pulling? What Voltage sag have you seen so far? Peter At 50 mph I am drawing around 100 amps. Will pay better attention to voltage sag and report tomorrow 50, 100 and 200 amp sags. So far the most I have seen is around 2.75 volts per cell unde...

O.K. Peter since you asked so nicely here is a not very good picture. http://www.go-ev.co.uk/images/Misc/Image015.jpg I was short some interconnects so used the ones I had lying around. You can see my chargers connected. I charge with all of them until they get to the constant current phase then for...

Recieved cells!
On Monday night I collected my 24x 100ah cells from David. Last night fitted them into my Fiat 126 after fully charging them. At the moment I am using 6x Ring RSC16 Smart Chargers. Although these are designed to charge all types of lead acid, including sealed and gel cell batteries, they provide con...

I printed your latest schematics etc off last night but haven't looked at them properly yet. Also consider that for option 1 if your wires to the charger short together that will drive the charger voltage high regardless of the extra resistor. Could this possible damage the charge? I don't know but ...
