Local bike shop will fix the flat tyre for £5 as long as they don't have to remove the wheel themselves.

Does anyone think I could get away with using the throttle from a motor scooter, you know, like get a spare from Fowlers and be done with it?

Throttles just old and not very good I think... there are a few being sold on E-Bay but I'd much prefer the convenience of actually going to a shop and buying one. It's a three-wire type, Red, Green and Black, although it's just the twisty mechanism that's actually broken. I don't know how that can ...

Well - I've done it. Taken the back wheel off, put a new tube in, and put it back on again. Now for the bad news... I have ANOTHER puncture, of the "do a mile and get another puncture" variety. I dare say I got the inner tube a millimetre to the right, or put the slime puncture resis...

I suppose so; I've now found a massive screw stuck into my rear tyre (must have got in there after I got home) and the Seal 'n Flateâ„¢ has turned out to be a complete waste of time. What really worries me is all the wierd little screws and deeleys and big silver things stuck onto the wheel and ...

Because I don't know the first thing about fixing those. I have a 20 inch Slime inner tube, a tube protector and a can of "Seal 'n' Flate" fix and inflate solution. I've finally got the bike up on a chain temporarily, but I can't leave it like that for long. I'm really worried about taking...

Anyone ever taken the back wheel off their Sakura?

Has anyone taken the back wheel off their Sakura 200 or 207? I've got a flat and I'm pretty nervous about fixing it...

Also- does anyone know if the tyres are tubeless or tubed? I assume tubed, but if they're tubeless I really need to know...

Cheers
Andy

Well, it only has two wires going to the motor so maybe it is a brushed one after all... How are you going to limit the current drawn from the NiMh battery? The 2Ah 'AA' cells are not really suited to supplying more than 2 amp. The plan is to use an 18 ohm resistor to restrict current to 2 amps. Als...

Aha, yes indeed, egg on face. My new multimeter measures my batt at 39 volts or so. I've measured the ampage that the lighting systems' drawing and it's around 1 amp for the headlight, .35 amp for the brakelight and up to .45 amp for the indicators. Mind you this is on a 12v bank of 2 amp NiM...

If it's labelled 47K, than it's probably a resistor. Yeah, that confused me because it didn't have any of the markings normally associated with resistors. I thought maybe it was a transistor but I only saw two legs coming out of it... (see below) By the look of the small photo, it's a variable resi...
